Translate your first image in under a minute.
PhotoTranslate turns any image with text into a translated copy that keeps the original layout, fonts, and colors intact. This guide walks you through your first translation.
1. Open the homepage
Go to the homepage and use the upload area at the top. Sign in to translate images — the free tier gives you 50 image translations per month.
2. Drop in an image
Drag any PNG, JPG, JPEG, or WEBP file onto the upload area. The free tier accepts files up to 20 MB; Pro and Lifetime plans accept up to 20 MB and 20 MB respectively.
Supported sources include manga panels, product photos, restaurant menus, UI screenshots, scanned documents, posters, and signage.
3. Pick a target language
Choose any of the 20+ Latin-script target languages. Source language is auto-detected. CJK and right-to-left targets are on the v1.x roadmap once we ship bundled fonts.
4. Preview and download
The translated version appears next to the original so you can compare. Download as PNG.
What gets preserved
- Surrounding artwork — speech bubbles, product photography, page layout
- Reading order for left-to-right scripts
- Approximate text placement (font matching and shaping are coarse in v1)
